The term ‘Fake News’ will not be unknown for those who have at least some interest in what is going on in the United States of America. In their extreme hatred for president Trump and their desire to cause his downfall, several of the media do not hesitate to create their own news about Mr. Trump or to report the news in such a way that it shines a negative light on him. The president himself, on the other hand, is quick in dismissing reports in the media which he doesn’t like and calls them ‘fake news’.
But while the eyes of many are focused on the battle between Mr. Donald Trump and the powerful mass media, many don’t realize that what is frontpage news for them, is often actually not that important at all. It all plays a role in the great plan of the Almighty Ruler of the world, God, our heavenly Father. His plan was made before the creation of the world. And He does not fail in bringing His plans to fulfillment.
Our Lord Jesus Christ shows us a bit of how God fulfills His plan in Matthew 24. ‘For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.’ It is tremendous, what is happening and what we can read every day. The tensions about North Korea, the wars and rumors of war in the Middle East, and so much more. And also hurricanes, earthquakes, and many other disasters. But it is not more than just a minor fact in God’s plan. ‘And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.’ That is what counts. Only when the gospel will be preached to all nations, then the end will come. No sooner. Not through a nuclear war with North Korea, not through disasters caused by global warming. But when the gospel of the kingdom is preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations.
That is what should be front page news. The End Of The World Is Approaching! Why? Because the gospel is being preached in all continents and it is penetrating into the jungles and the inner regions of Africa, of China, South America, as well as in the inner cities of the metropoles of this world. That is Real News!
