“Boost for conservatives as Turnbull resets his team,” is what The Australian writes. What to think about this? Did PM Turnbull see a good reason to involve more conservatives in his team? Is this to appease the conservatives who were hurt by his staunch support of the same-sex-marriage legalization? Is he trying to keep them within the party, despite not granting any protection for those who are against same-sex-marriage on religious or conscientious grounds? Or has this nothing to do with the whole matter of same-sex-marriage?
Time will tell. It appears that this reshuffle sparked a fresh round of infighting in one of the parties of the coalition. Is it worth it?
Granted, the outcome of the last two by-elections did bring the PM in a bit better position and gives him some reasons to look at the future with confidence.
