The Greens in parliament are trying to hijack the discussion about the protection of religious rights which will come up in the New Year, after the legalization of same-sex-marriage.
They are planning to use Mr. Ruddock’s review of religious freedoms to introduce some limitations on religious freedom.
“There is a difference between the right to believe in religion and the right to practise by discriminating against other people”, senator McKim says. It is sad to see how he speaks about living out our Christian beliefs. If we believe that God requires of us to live a certain lifestyle that is in accordance with His Word, and that we should promote such a lifestyle in this world, then that is called discrimination.
Let us be on guard and speak up before it is too late!
